About
Melissa practices in the area of workers’ compensation. She received her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in 2009 and her law degree from Campbell University School of Law. Melissa was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2016.
Before joining Lewis & Roberts, Melissa practiced workers’ compensation defense for four and a half years before taking a position as Counsel to the Full Commission at the North Carolina Industrial Commission. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her workers’ compensation practice.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, quilting, painting, baking, serving her church, and hosting friends for dinner. She grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but has loved living in the Triangle since 2005. Melissa was a law enforcement officer before attending law school, which fit well with her passion for justice and tenacious spirit. She is a zealous advocate for her clients and particularly enjoys complex occupational disease claims and contested injury claims.
